When you sync data for the first time, Smart Switch merges the duplicate data between Outlook and your device. Then, it copies the Outlook data to your device and your device data to Outlook. After that, changes are synced between Outlook and your device. If you accidently delete data in either Outlook or your device and then sync the data, the data will also be deleted from your device or Outlook you are syncing with. To prevent the accidental deletion of data, you can initialize the sync log. Initializing the sync log does not affect the actual data.
To initialize the sync log, follow these steps:
1At the bottom of the Smart Switch window, click Outlook Sync.
2Click Sync Preferences for Outlook.
3On the title bar, click Initialize the syncing log for Outlook.
4In the list, select the check boxes next to the items you want to initialize the logs for.
5Click Initialize syncing log.
