Restoring from a Samsung device backup

You can restore data from a backup created from a Samsung device. Using this function, you can easily transfer your personal data and settings from an old device to a new device. Items restorable from a backup may change depending on the connected device model and OS version.

To restore data from a Samsung device backup, follow these steps:

1At the bottom of the Smart Switch window, click Restore.

2Click Select a different backup.

The Select a different backup window will appear.

3Under Select a backup to restore, click Samsung device data from the drop-down list.

4In the right drop-down list, select a backup you want to restore data from.

You can also click the folder picker icon to manually select a backup folder.

5In the list of backup items, select the check boxes next to the items you want to restore.

6Click OK at the bottom of the window to close the Select a different backup window.

7Click Restore now.
